HIP stud
SurgiSTUD’s 3D printed hip model is an excellent tool for
a variety of hip surgeries ranging from total hip
arthoplasty to trauma. The model’s boney architecture
and comprehensive soft tissues provide an immersive
platform with realistic haptic feedback. When utilizing the
model for total hip arthoplasty, trainees can be guided
through the entire procedure: exposure, retraction, boney
resection, reaming, broaching and implantation.
Models are available with normal anatomy or can be
customized to recreate desired pathologies and
deformities.
Custom models can be built utilizing a CT scan so that
the boney anatomy matches that of a patient exactly.
Using the SurgiSTUD hip model, companies can train
and certify surgeons for robotic, guided, and
traditional procedures. While robotic and guided
training with traditional specimens involves scanning
costs and preoperative planning each time, SurgiSTUD
models can be scanned once and reprinted
consistently to eliminate costs and delays.
